Heer Halewijn zong een liedekijn;
Al die dat hoorde wou bij hem zijn
Liedekijn is a sequential group exhibition, to be held The Front Gallery in Canberra from 26 March – 8 April 2013. The Exhibition Opening celebration is at 7pm, 28 March 2013. Everyone is welcome!
Details of exhibiting artists are here.
The idea is that each piece in the exhibition tells the next part of the story, and each artwork is made by a different artist.
The story we have chosen is the medieval Dutch/Flemish fairytale The Song of Heer Halewijn.
It is up to the individual artist to decide how to approach their page. Some artworks, if the artist chooses, will use comic storytelling methods – word balloons, panels, etc. – whereas other artworks will be an illustration. A translation of the original poem will accompany the artworks.
